There's something truly special about being allowed to breathe new life into old memories.
In this project, two old wedding rings – filled with years, stories, and love – were melted down and shaped into one new ring.
To be allowed to be the link between past and future feels like a small privilege in itself… and we are so grateful to have had our hands on this particular beautiful family history.

💍✨ Old gold – new love ✨💍
Do you have a small collection of old gold jewellery just lying around gathering dust in a drawer?
The great thing is: your old gold can become something entirely new – namely, your wedding rings!
We can melt down your old gold and use it as the material for your new rings. This means you're not just saving money – you're also getting jewellery with history and soul. Something that has already been part of a life and is now allowed to start a new chapter with you.
It’s not just sustainable (hooray for the planet!), it’s also incredibly romantic. Imagine wearing a ring that might contain gold from your grandmother's necklace and your partner's old signet ring. A symbol of past memories and future promises, melted together in one loving gesture. 🕊️
We'll guide you safely through the process – and who knows? Maybe there'll be another little love story out of it 💛
Who says it always has to be a diamond in a wedding ring?
A flaming red ruby is also a good – and somewhat more colourful – option! At the same time, rubies are just as hard as sapphires and can therefore withstand the test of time as an everyday ring.
Here we have it captured in a set of Meander silver rings. But it’s always YOUR choice how you want to combine materials and colours! What would your favourite combo look like?

It's always a pleasure to meet a true “gem slut” - you know, one of us who can't walk past a gemstone without getting acute collector's mania. Normally, that's our weakness here at Castens... but this customer has really caught the sparkle bug too! We've made a whole little treasure chest of jewellery for her own beautiful stones, and we love every single piece of jewellery that has come out of it!💜💙
Castens - for Everyday Princesses and other shameless romantics 🥰
Are you looking for a unique piece of jewellery – one that will hold great significance? Perhaps for yourself? Or for someone dear to you? Then we will create it for you – with the greatest care, we craft the jewellery that can make you forget the dull, grey structure of everyday life, if only for a short while 👑🐲🧝

The jeweller's tool: Round-nose pliers
These clever pliers are generally used for bending things into a circle (I know… wild, right?). The one with two round jaws is used for making loops, while the other, with one round side and one flat side, is perfect for shaping softer curves on slightly larger jewellery projects.

Synthetic stones – where do they actually come from and why are they made? 🤔
